Usui\/ Holy Fire\u00ae\u00a0III Reiki Master<\/em><\/p>\n Growing up, I struggled with OCD, anxiety, and depression from a young age. I tried years of medication and therapy (the traditional Western approach) without much success. I knew there had to be another way, and so I began to explore more \u201cunconventional\u201d methods of health and healing in my early 20s. It was during this time that I first encountered Reiki. I continued to explore other healing modalities and delved deeper into my spiritual journey which, at age 22, led me to profound healing in a way that traditional solutions had not. Healing is a lifelong journey, and this experience was truly just the beginning.<\/p>\n After graduating University in 2014, I immediately moved to New York City and dove right into the corporate grind, adopting a \u201cwork hard, play hard\u201d mentality like those around me. While I still engaged in my passion for wellness and explored spirituality through yoga, meditation, acupuncture, and research, my career always took precedence.<\/p>\n After five plus years of working in the advertising industry, the stress, long hours, and lack of work\/life balance had taken its toll. Over the years, my anxiety had returned and brought with it numerous physical ailments. I saw various specialists, underwent surgical procedures, and landed in the ER on more than one occasion. Each time – the results came back \u201cinconclusive\u201d and \u201clikely the result of prolonged stress\u201d. My body was screaming for me to pay attention. The lack of formal diagnosis reaffirmed what I knew to be true:\u00a0 the solution would not come from treating the symptoms, because the symptoms stemmed from a deep energetic and spiritual imbalance.<\/p>\n By Summer of 2020, I could no longer deny that I was not on the correct path and had not been for some time. If I were to continue, I would only move further out of alignment with what I knew my soul was calling me to do: prioritize my health and be of service to others on their healing journey. In Fall of 2020, I took a leap of faith and quit my job, leaving behind the career I\u2019d worked so hard to build. I then spent the next 6 months focusing solely on my spiritual practice, coming back to myself and deeply healing my mind and body after overextending both for so many years.<\/p>\n It was during this phase of my journey that I rediscovered Reiki. Looking to further heal myself and hoping for some clarity, I booked a Reiki session with a practitioner who happens to be an old friend. It was wonderfully relaxing and provided me a sense of peace while activating my inner guidance. Something had clicked, and I knew I needed to delve deeper.<\/p>\n With a desire to equip myself with the lifelong ability to tap into this healing energy, for myself and especially to help others; I soon completed certification to become a Usui\/Holy Fire\u00ae III Level I & II Reiki Practitioner.\u00a0Seeking to further my training and deepen my connection, in Fall of 2021 I became a certified Usui\/Holy Fire\u00ae III\/New Earth Reiki Master.<\/p>\n Through Reiki I have found continued healing within myself, and have seen it help my clients in profound ways.
