Certified Colonic Therapist
Athena Thomas is a native New Yorker, born in the Lower East Side of Manhattan and raised in upstate New York. After obtaining her bachelors degree in English in 2010 from Averett University in Virginia, Athena moved back to New York City to start her career.
After working for a few years in an administrative clerical position, Athena began to feel lost and empty with her career path. One thing she knew for sure was that she liked interacting with and being able to help people.
In 2016, Athena joined the Gravity East Village family and began working as the receptionist. She loved being able to interact and converse with the clients that came in regularly. On a daily basis, Athena would see different clients on their own health journey leave the colonic room saying “how good they were feeling”. Almost immediately, Athena wanted to be able to learn more about helping people through colon hydrotherapy, nutrition, and cleansing.
Athena began to make personal changes within herself to improve her own lifestyle by regularly exercising, incorporating lots of fruits and vegetables into her diet, and eliminating processed foods. Seeing a change in how good she felt, she wanted to be able to help people on their own health journey through colon hydrotherapy.
These experiences have inspired Athena to become a certified Colon Hydro-therapist. Athena loves taking an active role in helping people feel better! And she would love to meet you! She has a calming personality that will put you at ease if this is your first time having a colonic session. She will talk to you about ways to support your digestion for better wellness and share tips on how to feel better when you eat food. Athena believes in the power of maintaining a healthy lifestyle for longevity and overall well-being. We all love Athena at Gravity East Village and so will you!
